Welcome to the Public Health GIS Unit web site. The aim of our website is to provide information about the Unit's research interests, and to offer a range of educational resources relating to the application of spatial modelling and GIS based techniques to health related research. The Public Health GIS Unit was established in 1999 with a grant from the Public Health Development Fund.
Research Interests The Unit's primary research interests lie in:
Public Health Practice In addition to our research interests a key purpose of the Unit is to promote and support the use of GIS (Geographical Information Systems and Sciences) in public health practice. As part of this role we enjoy productive working relationships with a number of partners from within the academic and NHS sectors. |
